As said above, since you took the flight at the end of the day you are not entitled naturally to a refund or another alternative flight. Thus you are entitled to the fixed compensation set under the israeli Act mentioned. You could write the airline company demanding reseanoalbe compesation under the general Torts Law.

One can not get a refund for a flight one eventually took in those circumstances accoring to Israeli law .

What's my compensation? It depends on the length of the delay. If the delay is at least two hours, the airline must provide food, drinks and email and phone services.
